E148 is one of the most influential sires in the Marathon Wagyu program, renowned for combining exceptional genetic diversity with proven performance. With a genomic inbreeding of just 5.6% and a genomic diversity score of 64, he ranks as the active sire with the highest diversity and lowest inbreeding in our herd.
A foundation sire in the Codenwarra Wagyu herd for over a decade, E148 has left an enduring legacy of exceptional quality breeders known for their excellent frame and temperament. E148 remains a cornerstone sire in the Marathon Wagyu herd, with 194 active cows carrying his genetics—delivering resilience, genetic diversity, and high-quality carcase outcomes for the north.
A proven trait leader for growth and scrotal size, he ranks in the top 5% for 200 & 400-day weight and scrotal size, top 1% for mature cow weight, and has high-accuracy EBVs across the board.
Carcase performance data from 31 bodies shows an average HSCW of 452kg, AusMeat marble score of 8.4, and digital marble score 8.4 (20 bodies assessed). These results cement his reputation for producing progeny that excel both in the paddock and on the rail.

P0011 is a powerhouse growth and carcase sire with 194 active females in the Marathon Wagyu herd and 385 registered progeny. Free of all genetic conditions, he is a trait leader for 400- and 600-day weight and carcase weight—with EBV’s ranking in the top 1% for carcase weight, 400DW, 600DW, and mature cow weight. As a semen sire contributor in the first year of the AWA Progeny Test Program, P0011 has 25 progeny progressing through the program, 8 of which have already been slaughtered. His involvement, coupled with continued use in the Marathon breeding program, has seen his EBV accuracies increase by 22%, with a 47% gain in marble score EBV and a 30% increase in Breeder Feeder Index.
To date, his top marbling carcase is a 35-month-old steer weighing 527kg HSCW with a digital marble score of 14.1. His heaviest carcase is a 32-month-old steer at 618kg HSCW and a DMS of 11.3.
